HOW IT ALL STARTED
Founding member and Managing Director, Myrtle Oosthuizen qualified to practice as a Professional Accountant (SA) in 2008, after having completed her degree and articles in accounting and auditing, at Certified Master Auditors Inc., and successfully completing the South African Institute for Professional Accountants (SAIPA) Professional Evaluation exam.
Myrtle was invited to join the firm's accounting division, Certified Master Accountants (CMA), as Associate and, wanting to return to her favourite province, rose to the challenge of opening CMA's first Cape Town office in 2008. Myrtle's passion for Optimised Tax Structuring, Small Business Development and Growth Strategies, has proven to be a valuable combination, leading to the rapid expansion of the Cape Town client base.
In 2011 the practice added a new bouquet of services to medical professionals, which included amongst others, monthly medical billing, debt collections, practice management support, and general financial management services. Myrtle's philosophy in business is to empower her clients with the tools and the ability, to make calculated decisions. Freeing up her client's time is a key consideration which permeates through her practice and internal processes. Therefore, the practice continuously embraces innovative accounting software, useful technology and also keeps a close eye on all futuristic trends.
The practice is registered as an Accredited Training Centre (ATC) at the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA), and is a member with the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners (SAIT), Southern African institute of Business Accountants (SAIBA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
